• Types:
  • IPO (Initial Public Offering): An unlisted company makes its first public offering of shares.
  • FPO (Follow-on Public Offer): A company already listed on the stock exchange issues additional shares to the public. 
  • NCD Public Issue: Companies or entities offer non-convertible debentures (bonds) to the public for raising capital.
• Regulatory Process: Public issues must be registered with regulatory bodies like SEBI, involving the filing of a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) containing financials, risks, and objectives.
• Investment Process: Investors can apply during the issue window, often through online platforms using UPI.
